School has bin really good this year we don’t get as much homework and we got to play a computer game in class called Sim City 4 it’s a fun game and also we are on the computers for about an hour each day it’s pretty awesome this year. also I have not handed in one thing late so far. I like that we get to go on the computers because I find cool sites to go on and it helps me get around better on the computer and learn new things that you can do on it. I think this year will probably be one of my favorite school years and we don’t do much text book work so thats awesome. After school I usually play Xbox 360 or I       hang out with my friends. Sometimes I go quading or if it’s winter i like to go ski-dooing.

In like a week their is going to be hockey starting up again and thats sweet!! Also I am pretty good so it’s going to be fun. My favorite team is the Toronto Maple Leafs but this year their not doing so good their like 3-4-3 whish is 3 wins, 4 loses nd 3 overtime loses. About a month ago I seen them play a pre-season game in Winnipeg it was awesome and they even won to. They play the Phoenix Coyotes it was one of the coolest things I had ever seen. This year we just started to play hockey last night at the rink. This year we don’t have as much people playing but it is still fun. That’s all!! Bye!!!

Hello I am now writing about the chapter 3 and 4 on the book the Outsiders. At the start of chapter 3 Two-bit, Johnny and Ponyboy offered Cherry and Marcia a ride home and they said yes so they left the movies and were going towards their houses and then they seen the Socs in their blue mustang and they past them once and then it came back right beside them and stopped a couple of guys came out named Randy and Bob and there was three more guys still in the mustang and they wanted to fight the Greasers because they were with Randy and Bob’s girls but it wouldn’t be even it would be 3 on 5 so Two-bit gave Johnny a switch blade(which is a knife) and a broken glass bottle to Ponyboy but the girls didn’t want them to fight so they got out and left with the Socs left in their mustang. Then they laid in the vacant lot wondering what just happened then they fell asleep they woke up at two in the lot and Pony realized he had to go home so he ran home as fast as he could when he got their he wished that everyone was sleeping when he walked in he seen Darry on a chair and Soda was sleeping Darry yelled at Ponyboy and then he was so angry that Darry hit Ponyboy in the head Ponyboy looked at him and ran out the door to Johnny who was still in the vacant lot laying and they decided to run away but Ponyboy was so angry that they had to go for a walk they went by the park and sat by a fountain in the park then the blue mustang pulled up beside them and got out there was more this time and they surrounded them and then Johnny remembered the switch blade Two-bit gave him and pulled it out of his pocket and the Socs weren’t afraid of it some grabbed Pony and threw him in the fountain and tried to drown him they left after they could because Johnny had killed Bob on of the girls boyfriend and the fuzz would be their any moment so when Pony woke up he seen the dead Soc and Johnny so they talked and realized that the fuzz would come and then running away wasn’t a option they had to. They heard that Dally was at a guy named Buck’s house partying so they went there to see if Dally could help them run away so they went their and Dally gave them money, cloths, and a gun he told them where to go and they left they took a train to a place by a church and that’s where Dally told them to go so they asked a farmer where it was and went their when they got their the church was very old and creepy they went to sleep and that is the end of chapter 3-4 The setting of the Chapter is at the movies, the vacant lot, the park, Buck’s house, the train, and the church. This book is really good now the more you read ot the better it seems. That is it for my blog post on chapter 3-4.

 On Friday last week me and my class read a book called the outsiders by S.E. Hilton. It is about two gangs one called The Eastside Socials and The Westside Greasers. The socials are rich kids who own mustangs and wear nice gangster cloths and The Greasers are poor kids who wear a white T-shirt, leather and blue jeansand grease their hair back. The greasers are the main people in the story the people in their gang are called Darry, Sodapop, Ponyboy, Two-Bit, Johnny and Dally. The main story is about Ponyboy and yes that’s his real name. Ponyboy is brothers with Darry and Sodapop. Dally and Darry and Two-Bit are like the leaders of the gang because their big stronger and older. Then Ponyboy and last Johnny they also call him Johnnycakes for some strang reason. Johnny’s like the pet of the gang who gets beat up by his parent’s and beat up a lot by the Socials lots.
So far I think it’s a pretty good book it has lots of description and it’s also intresting to read about like gangs and fights and stuff because I like stuff like that. The setting of the story is really so far in the movie place and in their neighborhood. I have never read a book and I wanted to keep on reading because it is so good before I usaully only read at school, on the computer and video games.

   A couple weeks ago I went to Thompson I went to Wal-mart, Canadian Tire, Dougs Source for Sports and lots more stores. I got new hockey skates, hockey gloves, and I also got a game called Skate for my Xbox 360. Then when I got home I played my Xbox 360 in 2 days I almost beat the new game I got.

A few days ago my class and I and some kids from Los Angles went on a private chat room called moodle and we answered some questions together about power and relationships and then went on a thing called skype it is a audio web cam. We had people in our group from Snow Lake and Los Angles I had Skyler from Snow Lake and Lyndsay, Juan and Manuel from Los Angles. We answered 4 questions these are them:#1) Define power #2) How does power affect a relationship? #3) What role does power play in a persons relationship decision making progress? and #4) Why is having power important to a person?

For #1) We thought power can be shown in positive and negative ways. We also said having money is a important part of power. Also that power is shown in relationships.

#2) We said if you have lots of powerand you make big decisions it could have a big impact.

#3) We said if you try to make decisions that involves money you will more than likely pick the money over the other thing.

#4) Finally we said you would want the power to control other peopleand to make powerful decisions.

That is all that are group thought about the questions.

    :)I wrote two post one on The Bet and one on The Veldtand now I have to write comparisons of the two stories. The Bet was written by Anton Chekhov and the story The Veldt was written Ray Bradbury. The Betis a story about a lawyer and a banker make a bet about the lawyer staying in jail and he has 5 minutes left till he gets his 2 million rubbles which is 2 million dollars and leaves. The Veldt is about a family in the like future and theirs a nursery that makes a hologram of were their thinking of and it is like real then the kids don’t like their parents and trick them in it and the lions kill them.

    I think that there isn’t very much comparisons but this is some comparisons the power changes at the end in The Veldt the parents had the power han the kids got the power and in The Bet the banker had the power but after 15 years he lost it , there are two important rooms in The Veldt the nursery and in The Bet the wing of the house, the setting of the stories were mostly in a house, and thattheir relationships ended in The Veldt they kill the parents so they are dead and in The Bet the lawyer and the banker probaly were friends then they lost it over a bet. In class my class and a class in L.A. talked to each other about power and relationships for school in my group I had Skyler, Manuel, Lyndsay, and Juan.
We had questions we had to talk about the first one Manuel thought power can de shown in both positive and negative ways he also said having money is a important in power everyone agreed and skyler added power can effect relationships. For the second question Juan said if you have lots of power that if you dicide something it could have a big impact and everyone agreed with what he said.  In class two days ago we read a story called The Veldt by Ray Bradbury. It is about a family with two kids named Peter and Wendy their about 10 years old the parents names are George and Lydia Hadley. They are in the future their house can talk to each other if you are sitting at the table and you want something you just say it like for example like ketchup and it will pop up. Also their stove cooks all the food for you and they have a something that ties shoes and gives them baths. They also have a nursery that will show a hologram of anywhere you ant to go. That’s what the main picture of the story. They go to the African veldt which is a African plain land with long grass and the odd tree.

                                                   DESIRE VS. NEED

     In the story they have a hole bunch of electronics that help them do everything for them like for example the machines tie their shoes and give them baths. They thought that it would make them happier but the kids did it like the only thing they liked was the nursery which was also need but it helped them kill their parents and that is what they wanted to do because they did it like their parents because they wanted to get ride of the nursery. I think the kids where rude with there disire because they would have hissyfits if the nursery was took away and they killed their parents which is kind of creepy.

                                       SHOULD WE HAVE EVERY DESIRE

    I don’t think we should because if we where like Peter and Wendy they killed their parents just to get one need the need of peace they didn’t like their parents because they wouldn’t listen to them very much. The parent’s where just being parent’s they shouldn’t of killed them. If you had every disire you wanted you wouldn’t want to do anything but that.
